To me, it wasn't a question of whether or not the Ford is worth it's price and has valuable attributes, or the Mopars either for that matter. I am sure to their owners, they are lovely things to behold and enjoy. I drove the cars that I admired a few times and even rented those on the short list so I could spend some additional time traveling about with them. Then I rented a 5th gen rag top (in black on black) but it was not one that I was considering. Due to a mix up at the counter and mostly because it was available for a low cost upgrade, I gave it a try; that day was a game changer. I put 350 miles on that car just riding it around town. I skipped out on work the next day and even kept it for a couple of extra days after that just to see if it would get old (it didn't). From there, the hunt was on for what I thought would be my vision of a keeper. It turned out to be the 50th SS with a proper 6 speed on the floor; a drop top of course.
