I am looking for things to hate about this car but I really can't find any. This car is truly mind blowing. Maybe fear of wear & tear on the Suede Steering Wheel? Or perhaps the ZL1 badge placement. I was truly mind blown by this car.
The biggest thing I was curious about was the A10. I've always loved rowing my own gears, but after reading all those reviews on how fast the A10 is, I had to see for myself and maaaaan.. they really nailed this 10-speed. Never in my life have I experienced something with a torque converter upshift and downshift with such response, speed and precision! And the ratio's do a fantastic job keeping you in the perfect power band.
Speaking of power band, did I mention this car is crazy fast? I'm talking pinned into the driver seat fast? It is impressive how the car managed to put all this torque down. I was expecting more wheel spin and the car going nuts all over the place off the line (from my experience with the Hellcat at least) but the power delivery and transfer to the asphalt was impressive. It's even more impressive around corners! I could not believe a muscle car could handle like this, I can't wait to track this beast.
And then comes the eargasmic sounds this machine produces, good lord, what a symphony! I don't think I switched on the radio in the 2.5 hours I had with this car. Starting off with a supercharger whine, matched with a very deep muscular note that screams as you come close to redline. Then you let off the throttle, and the exhaust starts crackling and burbling like your popcorn is ready. I stayed in 2nd gear for a good few mins just enjoying this music up and down the rev range with the cheesiest smile looking like an idiot!
