Having the same setup done as we speak and decided to forgo doing custom tuning and CAI, instead just doing the magnuson & its supplied tune plus K&N drop in.
I was told by the Camaro shop here that if I did add a CAI, a tune would be required because I would run lean with a S/C. Tuning a 16 was quoted at $1000 to do it properly. Just too expensive in addition to the $400 CAI for now.
Hope my experience is the same as yours!
