Anytime you replace a restrictive stock exhaust, you will almost always gain some power

Stock exhaust in the muffler area is designed to allow the exhaust gases to expand and cool down which slows performance but makes things quiet. This is what the AVG PUBLIC wants. Not performance minded.

Anytime you make an engine able to do work easier, you will see less pumping loses and more power to the wheels. Period. It's not a sound thing only.555

Doesn't matter what car or design the exhaust is in. The 5th gen v6s had dual cats as well so that's not really much an excuse.
