There were some regular 2016 GT350s going for sticker in August. By next August you'll be able to get a regular GT350 for under sticker, and you might be able to find a GT350R for sticker.

I'm a Mustang guy from way back, but I'd get a Grand Sport in a heartbeat before I paid ADM for a GT350.

Grans Sports are a hot item right now, just like the Z06 was, but if you wait until August, you'll be able to get one for under sticker as a walk in. I just looked up for my area and there are seven Grand Sports listed, but all have automatics. One has no options and is high 60's, and there is one that only has Z07 and the automatic for $77K. With supplier and some negotiation, I'm guessing you could get a base Grand Sport for $64K and a Z07 for $71K. If I had a choice between a GT350R or a Grand Sport Z07 for about the same price, it would be a tough call. The Grand Sport is a better car, but the GT350R will be worth a lot more in ten years.

You can actually order a Grand Sport right now with guaranteed supplier pricing through the grandsportregistry.com website:

2017 NEW CORVETTE SUPPLIER DISCOUNTS:
  • Through the courtesy of not one, but TWO sponsoring Chevrolet dealerships, GSR Members may order any new 2017 Corvette Grand Sport at or below the level of SUPPLIER PRICING. This typically equates to an overall discount of between 6.5% to 7.5%. You must be a bonafide GSR Member (the dealerships will verify your eligibility with the GSR) and you must go through the specified Program Coordinators. See the Supplier Pricing Info in the GSR Members Only Section of the GSR website for full details. This is a limited time offer and may be withdrawn at any time.
This would be great, but I highly doubt this will ever occur, not even once.
