I'm not a huge fan of the scissor lift. I couldn't have done the job without it, but a two post lift I think would have been much better for an engine swap. This one seems like it's always in the way. I'll sell it cheap if anyone wants it.
I used a new Z06 clutch and flywheel. The flywheel is the exact part # as the SS. The clutch is visually identical, but the part #'s are different. I assumed the Z06 clutch is stronger so I went with it. I would bet the stock SS clutch would hold fine though.
Exhaust manifolds are the same GM part # for the LT4 and the LT1. The crate engine came with new exhaust manifolds so I used 'em. The exhaust is the stock dual-mode exhaust. The new engine seems to move way more air which makes the stock exhaust seem significantly louder than before. I really like it wide open most of the time, but being able to shut it up on a long interstate drive is priceless.
