the onstar's cell radio is likely a daughter board that can be removed. you can then reconnect and should have all the hands free ability still working but onstar completely unable to send or receive data.
This would be ideal.
I'll look into this asap. I've had my onstar's fuse pulled since bringing the car home in february. Was waiting for the Helmes manual that still isn't out yet to get the physical location but now I can jump ahead
