I have only ever owned manual transmission cars and on everyone from my very first Oldmobile Cutlass Supreme International series to this one the clutch pedal always wears faster than the others. At 9000 miles that pedal looks to need new rubber pads. I don't think it is your pedal action that is to blame, I just think it is the nature of the beast.

I will also agree that the aluminum pedals do last longer. They still wear over time but will usually last about 3 or 4 years before they look terrible and need replaced.
