This. If you decide to save the money and get a V6, it is by no means disappointing.

I have a loaner V6 convertible with NPP that's been broken in. A couple of evenings ago I went WOT for the 1st time in a Camaro. Had the top down too. Holy cow, the V6 sounds fantastic.
Also, not sure if creature comforts are of importance to you. If you were to find a loaded 2LT with all the bells and whistles, compared to a base 1SS, you could get more
features/tech for your money. But if that doesn't matter much to you, engine power is the main determinant, and you can comfortably afford the difference, you'd probably be kicking yourself if you didn't get a V8. Just keep in mind insurance will be more expensive, and while gas mileage is nearly the same between the two, you need premium for the V8 instead of regular for the V6.
