What are you going to do when that parking brake malfunctions? My experience over the years has been that parking brakes tend to be highly unreliable. Unless things have changed your parking brake is not hydraulic like the rest of your system. It works by pulling a cable. Cables stretch and cables brake. I would never entrust my car to the parking brake. All I use the brake for is a redundant safety step. I trust the car being in gear to hold it in place. And the best gears to do that are your lowest gears which are Reverse, and first.
