I had a testride with both and ordered an A8. If I want to shift myself I put it to Manual. Here in good old Germany streets are not that straight and ther is much traffic. The A8 shifts so well and so much better than my Mercedes E 250 CGI Convertible Automatic. Try both and think of the streets you want to drive along. It´s the only thing that matters

The A10 for the ZL1 is just because it has 200 HP more than the SS. The mpg would come down to much to get it sold. Just my 5 ct´s

The A8 is to heavy and to comfy for the 1LE. You also get no leather in the 1LE. Think about why
