The 6le designs spoiler was designed to cover this hole and be an alternative to the 1le blade spoiler (some including me think the GM blade spoiler is too short so they designed a taller one.)

I think the 6le one is a bit tall as well but have one ordered and will be modifying it by trimming a few mm off the lower that wraps down onto the decklid to help make the proportions of the spoiler to the decklid better. They are too close in size and makes them fight for attention. I studied automotive design and work at GM as a Creative Sculptor so these things that are a few mm off really bug me so I just change them myself. I'm doing the same with the street scene splitter and sideskirts as well.

Definitely get some pics of the process and final product once you trim down. IMO the 6le is too tall also.

once the 1LE models are in production I'm wondering how much it would cost for an new trunk lid with the holes already drilled for the blade spoiler fom the factory.
