Since they are 90% of the way there so far as equipment goes, then why don't they just offer nav as well for the extra $495? I do not think that it would add any weight at all seeing as how the PDR already has to have the GPS module/antenna anyway right?
We have a group of drivers who regularly go to Arkansas, Hill country in Texas, East Texas and have been to Deals Gap (Tail of the Dragon) as well. There are several areas around there where cell phone reception is spotty to non existent and having built in nav is a plus, especially as we are not out there enough to really know all of the roads, and we have actually discovered new roads by just looking on the gps and seeing what was out there.
This is not to say that it is a deal breaker by any means, but like I said earlier, just about all of the equipment is already present once you have the PDR so why not offer it?
