Serious design flaw question
I've been seriously interested in a ZL1. I recently drove a nice 2 SS with magnetic shocks and big brakes. I was impressed
What does not impress me is that there is really nothing for the passenger to hold on to when you start really exercising the car. There is no overhead grab strap or handle (ATS has them) or anything on the dash or console. The little finger pocket on the door is laughable.... No way will this let you get a grip to help the passenger hold on. I've instructed HPDEs for 28 years and have spent close to 20K miles on track in the right seat....holding on to something.
The reality is that this poor design will likely keep me from buying this car. My wife, Jewel of my life, is not a car girl and grabs onto the overhead strap in daily driving curves that aren't even .4 G. She's a chicken when it comes to speed and Gs.
Surely all of this Ring time would have made somebody at GM think of a hand hold of some type. Come on GM. Make it so I can buy this car.
