I don't know how many dealers you spoke to, but, it sounds like they're quite clueless on the west coast. Yes they're trying to push the '16s, that's why GM's website still defaults to the '16, but that doesn't mean they can't order '17s, and the pricing IS out.
I got my '17 in 60 days from paper to delivery.
