Car seat fits well for me. I'm using a Chicco Keyfit rear facing with base and it is a pain to get in and out, but works. My son is 7 months old.
I've also fit a forward facing seat with a 5 y/o in there. That fit much easier.
Stroller, not so much. The opening for the trunk is rather small. We have a BOB stoller which doesnt fit due to the trunk opening size. I haven't tried out umbrella stoller yet, that might just fit.
Bring both with you to the dealership. I only brought the car seat, so the wife approved! No regrets from me though!
