I have no remorse on getting a V8 over my 1LT. I love it to death. I knew when I wanted to buy a Camaro I will start out with the LT and move up to a V8. Granted I could've paid the extra $100 for one, but the upkeep and maintenance afterwards would've killed me I'm sure. I am more than happy with what I have now as I prepare to upgrade to a 2SS in 3-4 years (fingers crossed)
