It sounds like torque management kicking in. Torque management is basically a set of mechanisms that the ECU utilizes to help protect the drivetrain and transmission. The ECU will actually pull timing and fuel to reduce the torque delivered after the shift, which is what you may be feeling. This is one of the things folks typically get tuned out or reduced when they get a professional tune. You can try to see if you disable the nannies to see if it will relax the torque management values. If you have competitve mode on the 1LT, double tap the traction control button and see if it makes a difference. When you turn the nannies off for "track/closed course" type driving they may let it shift a bit harder, but I you will have to test it out. Be careful if you try this...
