As a plan B,
If its much more than that, I think I'd seriously consider waiting till the end of the year and getting a deal on a left over 2016 automatic 1SS with NPP and mag ride for about $35,000 to $37,000. Hopefully one day I could upgrade to the 1LE suspension package when it becomes available and put on better tires.

The traffic in San Diego is horrible, as much as I want this car, it would probably be a pain to commute 2 hours a day in stop and go traffic with a manual. But on the bright side, I wouldn't have to work out my left leg at the gym anymore. I'll be pushing in the clutch 400 times a day.
Agreed, the clutch in traffic gets old pretty quick. For a weekend car, I prefer the manual but for a daily driver that deals with heavy traffic all the time this A8 is awesome.

By the way, it will probably be tough to find a 1SS with MRC laying around. Usually, MRC winds up on a 2SS unless someone orders it specifically for a 1SS.
