GM has tried it. I think that what Ford is doing in the new 3.5EB is the best solution by far. It has DI and regular port injection. It uses the DI at start up and when called for power delivery and port injection other times. It's pretty interesting "fix" to the problems DI caused.

Exactly. It's just another maintenance item.

Plus, the amount that the catch can will catch totally depends on your driving. So you would have to have it wired up to a dummy light that makes you dump it. Can you imagine the uproar when people would have to dump it maybe once a month? It's crazy the amount of complaining people do when they spend $30k and don't want to upkeep that investment.
