Very different cars of course but they are both fun in different ways. The Camaro SS makes the right V8 sounds we all love, it has gobs of torque for effortless power to get you moving and it handles extremely well. It is not as light and tossable as an FRS/BRZ but the Camaro has evolved into more of a sports car/muscle car and handles much better than people think it will. The FRS is a lot of fun if you have a place to drive with a lot of twisties. It is more of a momentum car where you try to keep you speed up through the turns rather than depending on lots of torque to get you out of the corners. The Camaro is a much more refined car than the twins, more and better tech, better powerplant, better transmission, much better interior, etc.
I wouldn't compare the FRS to the Camaro, I would compare it to the Miata. The Miata will provide even more fun than the FRS. It is even lighter at 2300lbs and you get the convertible factor. It is also quicker than a FRS and has roughly the same torque but at a much more usable rpm for the street.
