just rolled over 3000 miles.

edit: this thread is related to the carbon buildup thread. I'm not convinced the amount of carbon buildup on 1 engine can be construed as the norm, but i'm not going to pull the engine apart to compare mine just for the fun of it.

Couple things to note when / if you ever look in at the valves. What oil / how clean do you keep it (filter, change intervals), do you use and what fuel.

I use full synth pennzoil (changed at 1500 and 1500 miles on the new oil) with fram ultra filter and 91 octane (most, if not all from shell). I think if there is a carbon buildup issue, it'll be heavily influenced by the quality of your oil and how dirty you let it get with some portion also having to do with impurities in the fuel.
