Like everyone said, skip shift. There are A LOT of ways to avoid that...
1: Rev up above 2k rpm to go into 2nd (I even was able to do it @ 1900)
2: Pause for a moment on neutral then go into second (like Bobfly said)
3: Skip shift eliminator physical mod
4: Tuner can deactivate it.
At first I had some getting used to and always did hit 1-4 lock which was a little annoying but now, I RARELY hit it.
