They said the Camaro is a track car and basically is on another level compared to the Mustang at the track. The reason why he may have felt there was less torque out of the corners is due to having to fight the Mustang through the corners due to oversteer and poor traction. Both cars were on their factory tires...so there was nothing unfair about it...Ford chose to put the Pirelli P Zero's on the Mustang. Even with better tires the Mustang GT's suspension is not as finely tuned, and it experiences more oversteer and body roll, so it would have gotten smoked regardless. Four seconds is an eternity at the track for one lap.

The Mustang GT was also never designed to be a track oriented performance car. Hence the name Mustang GT (Grand Touring)
