Yah obviously the ability to make ice outside is not a prerequisite to getting an NHL franchise. However the teams that struggle to fill the seats are located in the southern US. Carolina, Arizona and the Florida Panthers are a good example. Perhaps one too many teams in Florida. Why not move one of these teams up North.
With the NHL expanding instead of relocating it looks as though there will be another team to come bringing the total to 32 NHL teams... maybe. Is there enough talent to fill the rosters of one or two more teams? Or does the product get watered down.
I watched game 7 of the NBA finals and thought it was funny that David Silver, commissioner of the NBA, also gets booed when handing out the trophy.
