Launch is critical to having a good ET, I'm currently on the Hot Rod Power Tour and we ran at Royal Purple Dragway in Baytown, TX on Sunday - I was only able to run 11.2s there. Best 60' at Royal Purple was 1.80 launching at idle, where I had previously ran 1.55 launching at 1500-1800 RPM. Not sure if it was because of all the street tire cars running through the water that afternoon, or if it was because the new tires that we had put on the car. When I ran the 10.8's I was using a set of 305 nittos that were a few years old, I have switched to a new set of 275 ET street Rs which I thought would be better... Hopefully we will run the car again on Saturday at the Roadkill Nights on Kansas City, since I see you're in that area Sandkillman maybe we'll see you there!

With a centrifugal you're not going to have a bunch of extra toque at the line to get the car moving, in this case I would normally run a higher stall converter in the transmission to offset this low speed deficiency. With the PD, the torque is available, but only useful if it is put to the ground. We'll see how this works on Saturday, if I can't hook there then I will be going back to the Nittos on the car!
