Dad drove a caisson in France in the early 40's... He always said they fought so hopefully their children wouldn't have to. That's a great generation passing away nowadays, too bad a lot of their stories will never be told.
And those 101st airborne... he talked about those guys jumping behind enemy lines, fighting their way back thru, then hopping on the caisson's to go BACK IN!
I hope history remembers you guys as well in 60+ years
