You should really be comparing it to the 392 (6.4L). I prefer the powerband, response and sound of the HEMI to be honest... it just feels more connected and traditional. That might have more to do with the throttle mapping and not actual engine response. The HEMI definitely sounds better to my ear; the LT1 has all the pops, but it's more of a single-note sound. The 392 is like an orchestra as it winds out to redline.

As far as driving dynamics; the Camaro is faster, handles better and stops shorter. The Challenger is more of a GT car (bigger and heavier) while the Camaro is much closer to being a true sports car (lighter and twitchier). I prefer MRC to the adjustable Bilsteins on the SRT.

I prefer the optional natural leather in the SRT , that gauge cluster is beautiful and real aluminum looks expensive. Otherwise I like the interior of the Camaro better; there's more headroom, you sit lower in the car and it's just a bit more ergonomic overall. They're both very nice places to spend lots of time in though. The SRT does have a seriously good 18 speaker Harman Kardon stereo.

edit: I put just under 10k miles on a 2015 SRT Challenger before buying the 2SS.
