Well, I tried to help the sales, I just purchased one a couple weeks ago. I agree the pricing is high, which has been my struggle but I can honestly say it is a big improvement over my 2013 2SS 1LE.

- The tech is way better, ventilated seats, improved Mylink, Apple CarPlay, G-Meters, performance timers, etc.
- MRC provides a suspension control at the flip of a switch, which I like more than being in permanent track mode on the 1LE.
- The leather seats are better, softer and more comfortable
- The interior is a huge improvement, better HUD, modern fighter cockpit, etc.
- The NPP Exhaust is not electronically controlled with different modes. Only problem is mine rattles. Waiting for a solid fix.
- Smaller, lighter and faster than my last car. LT1 vs LS3 and new 8 speed Auto with super quick shifts. M6 owners get Active Rev Match.
- Slightly better gas mileage

Here was my deal. I previously had a 2013 2SS 1LE with NPP, NAV and Sunroof. MSRP was $43k at the time. I paid $39k and leased it over 36 months. Two weeks ago I took delivery of a 2016, Mosaic Black 2SS with NPP, MRC, A8 and NAV. MSRP was $47,200. $3100 dealer discount, $500 lease incentive, $1500 red tag discount (no idea, I just asked for more discount) and $1000 private offer. $41,100 plus tax. Definitely a money loser for the dealership but they sold the car. So, with this deal I was only paying $2k more then the last one and you could argue that if I got the M6 instead of A8 they would be about the same price.

So, to all those on the fence. This is a much improved car over the GEN5, it really is. If you are trying to justify the price, what do we compare it to? It is more car than the Mustang so it should cost a bit more. They are comparing this car to the BMW M4 now. Personally, I think this car compares to the Corvette. I honestly feel like this car is a cheaper version of the Stingray. So, if you can get 98% of the performance of a new vette for $40-50k is it worth it?
