You are right. But to me, cars are my passion and factually a terrible investment of capital to begin with. So I'd prefer to have those extras for me, even though it will result in more depreciation. I simply cut out "other expenses" to balance things out. But most Americans are terrible with their spending anyway. Look at how many people "lease" cell phones now (sorry for the tangent lol).
