If you have a problem with your manifold or engine down the line, Chevy will see you have a non-factory air box. Sometimes they will try to blame a non-OEM part for the failure. If they can prove that the intake caused the failure, your warranty is void and they will not cover repairs.
Now the chances of an intake cause engine or manifold problems is virtually non-existent. But on the .01% chance it does, your out of luck. I personally will be waiting for Chevy's intake to come out. Just for the peace of mind.
