Where I live when I bought mine in 2012, they were pretty rare. But after driving mine around town every day for a few months I started seeing a lot more of them.
But that pre-refresh body was really striking at the time. Some people acted like it was an exotic and I got compliments everywhere I went. I like the Vette-ish new hood but the aesthetics don't have the pop or the fresh look of the 5th gen.
