Purely for looks. Puts the shock outside its proper operating range and
screws up the suspension geometry design for optimum handling.
The factory lowering kit has half the drop with shocks designed for the new ride height. I would only use after market lowering springs for no more than an inch with shocks designed for a lower ride height like Bilstien
Sports. Or the real solution, coil-overs.
Lowering springs = increased bump steer. Correct solution is dropped spindles.
