I got to test drive the v6 and I was pretty impressed. My previous car was a 2014 Mazda CX5 with a 2.5L engine. Compared to that it was night and day. I have also owned a 2007 Mazda RX8, talk about lack of tq, that car didn't have any until 5K rpms. The Camaro v6 pulled way harder than the rx8 ever did.
