To help find the next big beer experience, users are turning to the web and using apps like Avola’s Untappd. Untappd is a free mobile app (available at Apple Store, Google Play and Windows Phone Store) that allows users to rate beers, check in at bars and find local beers and breweries. It’s an easy way to find out what might be the next big thing. For example, on National Beer Day last year, the app determined that these were the most popular beers by check-in:

The app surpassed the 3 million user mark last year and recently merged with beer and wine app, Next Glass. In the future, breweries and bars will be able to input what’s on tap directly into the app, helping beer drinkers solve their number one question, “Where can I find this beer…?”
