Correct on Corvettes having factory height-adjustment, but there are no notches as you mention, just screw the bolt in or out. You can generally go about a 1/2" up or down from the factory height with the factory bolts. Lower if you go with aftermarket lowering bolts. I took mine all the way down on the factory bolts and MRC still functions properly with no change in ride quality.
