Basically...they put those there for one reason only.....
To screw with each and every one of us!!!
They knew the spy photographers were going to catch these cars testing. They look different, they're loud, they're cow-spotted, and racing on the Nurburgring.....So they put subtle little "info" stickers on the rear quarters of each one.
Then...they watched the site to see when people would notice, and after that, what they would think it meant, and how we would react.
The Camaro team wanted to half a little fun with us, for a change.
- VID. 032516 "Vehicle ID"...the date was the public opening day for NYIAS.
- PWR<6.46 "Power to Weight Ratio"...6.46 pounds per horsepower is the number they flaunted at the surprise reveal in Nevada.
- 0/100<4.0 "0 to 100km/hr" in less than 4.0 seconds. Duh!
- LG>1.0X "Lateral G's" greater than 1.0X...double-duh!
- #HPSIXThe internal code for the 5th gen high performance model was HP2...and that leaked out, if you remember...so they've been advertising the "Camaro SIX"...may as well entangle the two and get people riled up! It may as well have been a hashtag for twitter or instagram or something.
