Things like this make me wish I had access to the underlying hosting system's nginX access/error logs to be able to correlate where all these 1 shot and supposed troll accounts are coming from..
It would be interesting to see if they're the same group of people or even person and to lock them out through various methods.. Though, admittedly, IP Ban is incredibly easy to circumvent and there are plenty of anonymizing sites and tech that can get around plenty of bans as long as you know how to employ them.
