2 week update:

Zero problems or issues. I don't think there'd be any reason to expect any. The car is running strong and the seat of the pants feel still gives an impression of an improvement in throttle response.

The ECU has "learned" the new throttle body. Unfortunately, I have to report that the real low throttle application hesitancy has returned. It's like a little dead spot in the throttle when trying to take off gently. Initially this felt improved with the ported throttle body. Now I think the only way to get rid of that dead spot is with a throttle controller or a tune. I had this same hesitancy with my last car (VW GTI) until I got a tune which improved the issue.

Given the modest price I definitely consider the ported throttle body a worthwhile mod - especially if one intends to upgrade the other parts of the intake path (which I do).

Dyno testing anytime soon Jason?
