I guess force isn't the right word. for me, more often than not, I get the 1-4 message, and can still go to 2nd.
however, there have been times when it
slides me into 4th. its like a little slide is put in place that looks like this
1 ... 3 ... 5

2 ... 4 ... 6
and it just guides you into 4th instead of just letting me shift to 2nd.
