It's a shame that the car is blamed for this mess when it is a very poorly managed assembly and QC program that sucks. I had heard of issues with poor final paint application from others on this forum who posted fairly emphatically about the areas of the car that were most apt to show evidence of the problem. On delivery of my car, I asked the dealership to clean the car and arranged acceptance of the vehicle in broad daylight in the morning. I went over the car from top to bottom, side to side and front to back looking for any evidence of poor paint or any indication of poor assembly. My car was perfect...maybe the best assembly I've ever experienced in over 70 car purchases.
I know the human being is imperfect and unfortunately most of the people who build and inspect these vehicles probably don't own a product manufactured in their plant, so they may not care.
The OP should see an attorney and name the dealership that doesn't care about the customer so no one else has similar care less issues from that dealership. I am truly sorry this has happened to a consumer from a multi-billion dollar company that could have made this right, day one. I'm crossing my fingers that they get you a replacement quickly and you're eventually happy with your purchase. I am.
