I really don't think it matters what Al O wants. Camaro has to deal with whatever comes out of the Corvette program. The Camaro doesn't have the same packaging limitations as the Z06, but I bet it still gets the 1.7 liter blower on the LT4.
If there is another n/a LTx, it would have to go through Corvette first, and that chance went out the window when the Grand Sport stuck to the LT1.
