The manual says it's there. Not sure what difference there would be in the driver's manual method and the age old brake and hold the throttle method I always used with automatic transmissions. If it allowed the engine to rev higher than the transmission's normal stall RPM, this would be awesome.

And it says on page 223 of the manual and in very clear langauge:
Launch Control (when in Competitive Driving Mode)
(Manual Only)
No Launch Control for auto-equipped cars. Traction and StabiliTrac, yes. But no LC.
