I don't see GM doing another 7.0 liter V8. I would like to see them take the LT1 and upgrade it. It might not make 526 hp like the Voodoo but I don't know that it would need to. Using the LT1 as the base should help keep costs down and they could use that money to take weight out of the car for a Z/28.
