If that is correct, then yes, the overall tire height is a little over an inch taller, about an inch and 1/8.

If one is talking about the tire rubbing issue , it ONLY counts the upper section , the ONE THAT MAY RUBB. Is the one from the center of the diameter going up to the quarter panel , the other half is in contact ( hopefully ) with the asphalt , right ?
Total eight only comes into play , when one is talking about ABS / gear ratio and or speed accuracy on the speedometer/odometer , because it will change the tire rotations needed per mile
