had the car 3 weeks and already have to replace tire. UGHH

I barely have had the car 3 weeks and I come out to it yesterday to find a huge nail stuck in the rear tire. I took my Camaro to Tropical Chevrolet and was told by the service writer that the dealership does not keep Camaro or corvette tires in stock. He would have to order it from North Carolina where there was ONE and ONE only. Now these 2016 Camaros have no inflator kit, no donut or spare tire. What are we supposed to do?
WTF????

He said they cannot plug the tire, it has to be replaced. Thank God I bought an extra service plan that replaces tires for road hazards. But it will probably be a week before the tire is in. Lucky for me no air is escaping so I was able to keep the car for now.

Now I'm afraid to drive the car on roadtrips because if nobody has these tires in stock, I'm going to be stranded wherever I am at. My service guy said I can have a loaner, but who wants to go through this every time a nail or screw gets picked up? Is there a donut that I can buy for the 2ss?

What happens if you plug a run flat tire? Also how long can you drive on a flat with the run flat tires? And at what speed? I've never had Run flats before.
