I'll be following the break in procedure.

One thing I find interesting.. there have been multiple comments about how a hard break in resulted in "more torque/HP" than someone who supposedly followed the recommended break in procedure.

Speaking only for myself, I'm much more interested in the long term reliability and maintenance history of recommended break in vs. other. I never hear about that... only "drove it hard, produced more power". I've not seen definite numbers either way. And following the break in procedure is easy, so I'll be doing it. After that, if it makes advertised numbers, I'm happy.
