I don't know what you mean about not seeing a stop light unless you pulled way past the line and were under the light. Did you test drive the car?
The backup camera also eliminates the need to turn your head when backing up. While the visibility isn't good, it's really not an issue unless you have a phobia of technology.

A somewhat scary statement. The sensors for these safety features can fail like any other type of feature. To rely on them is a recipe for disaster.
