reminds me of my cousin's experience.
in 2013 he was 28 years old and showed up at our local chevy dealership in his work clothes, which were covered in dirt and partially torn, and in his beaten up personal 90s Toyota truck. he was walking around, waiting for somebody to come help him, but the salesmen would see him and walk past him to other potential buyers. one eventually went up to him and asked if he needed help, but before my uncle could answer, he walked away to go help someone who was just pulling into the dealer's driveway.
pissed off, my uncle went to the Toyota dealer around the way where he was instantly assisted, and he went ahead and bought the 14 trucks he needed for his business from Toyota instead of Chevy.
I let them know about it when I went to go look for my Camaro, and the salesmen there said they remembered him and heard about it from the Toyota guys who called bragging... as a result, all of the salesmen got written up lol.
Edit: some salesmen are too quick to judge or just don't care. that's just the way it is.
oh, and the Toyota guy who sold my cousin the trucks was the new guy on the job
