I was at the dealership yesterday looking at the new 16 (which I like better in certain ways). I asked the sales rep about the policy for their dealership when it comes to mods and tune.
He said different dealerships have different warranty agreements with GM, which GM is getting tighter with every MY. He said, if any modification is done to the car even as small as a CAI (with or without tune), GM *can* void your warranty. He said, we report to GM and they tell us *IF* we can honor the warranty or not. Our service dept. does not make that decision, GM does. He said, if GM flags you in their system and you take the car to another dealership, they have to follow GM's policy.
